Physician requirements
We maintain high clinical standards on our platform. Here is what we look for in every physician partner.
Required
Active, unrestricted Florida or California medical license (MD or DO)
Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or a related specialty
Valid DEA registration or ability to prescribe controlled substances where applicable
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
No history of medical license suspension, revocation, or disciplinary action
Completion of ByeAcne onboarding and platform training (approx. 2 hours)
Signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for HIPAA compliance
Ability to respond to consultations within the 24-hour SLA
Not required
Acne treatment experience (we welcome general practitioners and family medicine physicians)
Minimum hours commitment
In-person office or clinic
Your own malpractice insurance (we provide coverage for platform consultations)
Credentialing process

Fill out our online application with your license information, NPI, and specialty.

Primary source verification
We verify your medical license, board certification, and DEA registration directly with the issuing bodies.

Background check
A standard background check is conducted through our credentialing partner.

Onboarding
Complete a 2-hour self-paced training on our platform, clinical protocols, and HIPAA requirements.

Go live
Sign your provider agreement and start receiving patient cases.
